Frequently Asked Questions
Below we have listed some frequently asked questions that should assist if you have any queries. Our Terms & Conditions are available at the bottom of this page.
If your question isn't here please contact us so we can help.
How do I place an order?
Ordering is easy via the orders page, just select the package/s and any add ons you'd like, then complete the details in checkout. Please make sure you select the correct Centre name from the drop-down list. You can add multiple children to an order, but please ensure you adjust the package quantity as needed. Online orders can be placed up to 7pm the night prior to your shoot day.
Late orders are accepted however they must be paid via correct cash, along with a completed hard copy order form, to the photographer no later than 9am the morning of the shoot. Please DO NOT leave cash or forms with the Centre staff, they must come direct to the photographer.
Do you offer a multi-pose option?
Currently we only offer one pose per child, regardless of how many packages are purchased. Should you require more than one pack (ie separated parents, gifting to grandparents etc.) all images will be the same.
How do I select the photo?
Our team selects the best photo for print and production so that's one less thing you need to worry about. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer a viewing gallery, nor send out RAW (un-edited) copies.
What should my child wear on photo day?
Everyday clothing is perfect, however If you would like your child to wear a specific outfit, please let your carer/educator know so they can prepare them as required.
When will I receive my order?
We will deliver your prints back to the Centre within 4-6 weeks of the photo shoot date.
I don't like my child's photo, what can I do?
All children react differently to new faces and new equipment, and we understand that we may not capture your child as you'd imagined. Please contact us directly if this occurs and we will work through this with you. Your Centre Director or Educators will be unable to assist, and they will refer you to us. We will assess each situation individually and where necessary we can offer a re-edit & re-print of the image, or a re-shoot. Re-shoots are at the discretion of the photographer and subject to availability. Once images are printed, we are unable to offer a refund. Please see our Terms & Conditions for further information.
Will my photos arrive cut into sizes?
Your prints will arrive together on one or more sheets approximately the size of an A4 page. We do not cut photos into their relevant sizes to prevent loss and damage. Where applicable each page will have cutting guide marks.
Can my child come in for a photo if it's not their attendance day?
Yes definitely! We encourage children who do not attend on the day to come in for their photo, especially if the Centre has chosen a physical group photo so they don't miss out.
Do you re-touch images?
Our team will remove non-permanent marks such as scrapes & cuts, bumps & bruises and band-aids. We will not edit out permanent features such as birthmarks, freckles or scars unless specifically requested.
We do not use filters on images nor do we incorporate any use of AI into our photography.
What if my child is sick on photo day?
Please advise your Centre or contact us directly and we will do our best to sort an alternative option for you.
Can I bring a sibling who doesn't attend the Centre?
Yes you certainly can! We are usually ready to shoot by 8am so if you have a child who needs to get to school and have opted for a sibling group this will generally allow enough time to photograph and get them to school.
Do you use a studio backdrop or natural background?
We give the Centre the choice of either a studio style shoot with a backdrop or, natural photos of the children at play either indoors or outdoors (weather dependent). Backdrops give a uniform, formal look and all children will have the same background. At play photos gives the children the option to be more relaxed in an environment they are familiar with, noting that play equipment, toys or books may appear in the background. Both options give great results!
Who choses the group photo style?
The Centre will choose either a physical group photo (all children from each room together) or a composite group photo (headshots of photographed children from each group)
Do you hold a current Working with Children Check?
Yes, every member of the Little Puzzles Media team hold a current Western Australian Working with Children Check card.
